无烟煤滤料的使用领域：

    无烟煤滤料广泛用于化工、冶金、热电、制药、造纸、印染、食品等生产前后的工业用水的水质过滤处理过程。无烟煤滤料不做单独使用，一般和石英砂滤料等其他净水材料配合使用。目前，无烟煤滤料是我国目前使用及其广泛的一种滤料。

无烟煤滤料在使用时的粒径范围： 

    无烟煤滤料用于生活给水的粒径范围为：0.8-1.2mm、1.2-2mm；工业用水无烟煤滤料的粒径范围为：0.8－1.2mm，0.8－1.8mm，1－2mm，2－4mm等。

    无烟煤滤料在各种粒径范围的无烟煤中，小于指定下限粒径的不应大于3%，大于指定上限粒径的不应大于2%。 

无烟煤滤料在作用于滤池时的注意事项：

    1、无烟煤滤料的破碎率和磨损率之和不应大于3%（百分率按质量计，下同）。

    2、无烟煤滤料的平均密度一般不小于1.4g/cm3，不大于1.6g/cm3。

    3、无烟煤滤料应不含可见泥土、页岩和外来碎屑。无烟煤含泥量不应大于3%，密度大于1.8g/cm3的物质含量不应大于8%。

    4、无烟煤滤料的盐酸可溶率不应大于3.5%。

无烟煤滤料在填充滤池时的操作要求：

    1、无烟煤滤料在填充前必须将滤池（滤器）内部清扫干净，保证没有生锈、裂缝、滤网破洞等问题出现，做好准备工作；

    2、要均匀地铺设每层滤料，当精制无烟煤滤料达到标定厚度时，必须耙平滤料，无烟煤滤料作为垫层滤料使用时，还会有活性炭、锰砂滤料其他滤料作为水过滤介质，要注意每层滤料的粒径大小，避免出现漏料的现象；

    3、滤料长期运行，会有磨损、板结出现，为此需定期检查无烟煤滤料和其他水处理材料的状况，如有亏料情况，需及时补充，还要定期的反冲洗保证出水品质。
